It is a rich source of antioxidants, antibacterial, and antifungal compounds. According to research conducted at the Technion and published in the American Chemical Society journal, consuming Marula fruit powder significantly reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases HDL (good cholesterol), thereby helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis (US patent).
